Nadine Denneth

Improving your health & well-being

Our Founder and Director, Nadine Denneth, believes passionately in prevention being better than cure when it comes to realising long-lasting good health. Having worked as a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor in the community as well as privately, she decided to set up N.ableD as a way to help improve the physical health and mental well-being of those who are socially-isolated and at risk of developing further medical problems (such as Depression, Type 2 Diabetes, Arthritis).

In late 2014, Nadine was selected as one of the winners in a competition run by Beyond Business at the Bromley by Bow Centre in East London after pitching her business idea to a dragons-den style panel of investors from Investec Private Bank.

Since that time, Nadine has explored partnership working with the Health Trainers and the Bromley by Bow Centre in East London, where she was given the opportunity to test-drive whether 12-weeks of home-based personal training could improve the physical health and mental well-being of someone who was socially-isolated and living with a long-term health condition.

With her intervention alone, 60% of those supported in their home to become more physically active went from being ‘abnormally depressed’ to ‘normal’; 80% increased their lower body strength, and 60% lost an average of 4 kilos in body weight. This was all achievable in as little as 12 weeks.

In addition to providing a prospective client of N.ableD with a free consultation, Nadine is also available to provide educational workshops and taster activity sessions to community groups in order to help people understand and experience for themselves the benefits of becoming being physically active as a way to achieve long-lasting health and well-being.
